Your immune system is your body’s frontline of defense. It is your primary protection from illnesses and diseases but it also plays a part in helping you heal from injuries and surgeries. Simply put, a healthy and robust immune system is critical for good health and longevity

The Immune System’s Job

The immune system has a simple, yet complex mission. Its goal is to protect you. It protects against foreign enemies; like germs, bacteria, and viruses, and also protects in times of injury; everything from a splinter to a surgery. When your immune system is compromised and its defenses are low, it affects the body’s ability to fight. That’s the last thing we want.

Signs of a weakened immune system

  3. Stress management - a whole cascade of issues crop up when we are constantly in a state of flight or fight.
